The merger of the Port Adelaide Football Club and the Port Adelaide Magpies meant the two businesses would be sharing resources. This, combined with Port Adelaide’s goal to ensure they’re always resourced with the latest technology made the decision easy for the Club to upgrade their office telephone system. It is no secret that Port Adelaide has been in an uncomfortable financial situation over the past 3 years, which is why “we always have the obvious and constant objective of trying to achieve significant savings,”PAFC CEO Keith Thomas said.
“Other Telco’s were offering solutions, some competitive, but it was the features that could be achieved using Voiteck and the fact that we could tailor the system to the unique needs of a sporting club that made us choose Voiteck,” Keith said. “I like the fact that Voiteck is a local supplier who actually cares about our business; they are responsive to our needs and have become part of the Port Adelaide family,” he added.
Voiteck were happy to bring the Club up to speed with the latest technology. Declan O’Callaghan, Voiteck’s Managing Director, said “we worked closely with the Club to tailor a solution specifically for their needs. We listened to their requirements, such as that membership drive is one of their busiest times. The solution – we could increase the volume of extensions without needing more lines from Telstra.”
“This flexibility alone saved us thousands every year. Plus, Voiteck’s ability to easily integrate these remote extensions is a huge advantage and allows staff to work more effectively together,” Thomas added.
Voiteck deployed quality business grade IP handsets on all desks and workstations completing a full telephony technological lift for Port Adelaide.
Features from simply being able to professionally put calls on-hold with music and messages to the more advanced, like using voice mail to email and of course they now have massive savings on their monthly telephone call charges in excess of 50% every month.
Thomas believes the added benefits of choosing to partner with Voiteck include the fact it has now allowed him to “work on the business rather than in the business.” Plus with lower than anticipated office and equipment costs and call cost savings every month, “we know we’re creating a rapid pay back on investment for Port Adelaide”.
